Learning Endoscopic Spine Surgery
Endoscopic surgery encompasses several techniques that differ in visualization and instrument handling. Through practical training and lectures, the Society helps participants deepen their understanding of each technique.
MED Microendoscopic Discectomy
Microendoscopic discectomy is performed through a tubular instrument fitted with an endoscope.
FESS Full-Endoscopic Spine Surgery
Full-endoscopic spine surgery is performed using a small-diameter endoscope.
UBE Multiportal Irrigation Spinal Endoscopy
Unilateral biportal endoscopy (UBE) is a technique in which the endoscope and surgical instruments are introduced through 2 separate portals. Multiportal techniques include UBE, BESS, and aFESS.
